WTF: 5 lbs in less than a week???

How is it possible to gain 5 lbs in less than a week?  I have the answer for you.  According to one site, these are all factors in retaining water:

  • Regularly eating too much salt and/or sugar
  • Drinking excess amounts of alcohol
  • Not eating enough fresh fruit and vegetables
  • High levels of wastes or toxins in your body
  • Taking certain commonly-prescribed medications
  • Long-term use of very low-calorie diets, which tend to be deficient in protein and other nutrients
  • Food intolerances (similar to allergies)
  • Lack of exercise
  • The ones in bold are what I, of course, did this past weekend.  So it just goes to show….you can gain a shit load of weight by drinking.  I havent drank like that in MONTHS.  and i remember why now.  cause ive been so good about losing weight.  And have currently gone down 8 lbs.  Lots of work.  And in a matter of 5 days, was able to gain 5 of it back.  Granted, it will be easier to lose than originally.  But still.  Its just the point.  Drinking does NOT do my body good.
