Real World is comin to town…
The next season of the real world is filming here in NY this summer. In brooklyn. Now i dont live in brooklyn (thank god), but im pretty sure theyre gonna get fucked with. a lot. They are putting them in a 2 story penthouse…and im sure the view of manhattan is going to be FUCKING SICK. so why is it fair that people they choose to be on these shows (a bunch of camera hungry teens) get to live somewhere like that for free? people in NY work hard to get what they have. so the fact that these “real world” kids get to move into an amazing place (and most likely trash the hell out of it anyway) is bullshit.
They say that they are going to take measures to not annoy the people in those buildings. But let me ask you this…would you want to live in an apartment building below the real world kids? doubtful. and im sure the people who live in this building (im guessing its pretty nice since its $6 million) arent going to be too happy with a bunch of drunk douchebags living under the same roof. it kind of taints the class of the place. They say that they wont film in common areas. Ok fine. but they still have to WALK THROUGH common areas. and you know those kids arent going to be tiptoeing in when they get home at 330 in the morning after a fun, underaged night of drinking.
An article in the NY times has a quote saying the cast “could get mugged out here.” One can only hope.

Have I told you of my secret dream to get through the Real World casting as a drunk floozie, and when I move in the house, 180 to my real self? Wake up at 6am, eat healthy, exercise, drink water, and break up fights? It would completely screw up the show. It’d be great.
